Instagram Scraper

Extract Instagram profile and post data into structured spreadsheets

DataLens makes it easy to collect Instagram profile fields, follower lists, and post engagement data directly from the browser. Get usernames, follower counts, bio text, post captions, likes, and comment counts — exported to CSV or Excel without any code.

Use this page as a starting point for the full workflow: collect the source, clean the table, analyze the patterns, and keep the exportable file together.

AI scraping workbench

Collect, clean, and deliver without rebuilding the workflow.

DataLens keeps the messy browser step, the structured table, and the exportable files together so analysts, operators, and growth teams can move from live pages to decisions faster.

Collect

Capture live page evidence

Open the source in Chrome and let DataLens detect repeated rows, links, images, comments, or listings on the page you are already viewing.

Clean

Shape messy fields into a table

Use the AI scraping workbench to normalize labels, preserve source context, and keep raw rows beside the cleaned dataset for review.

Deliver

Export files people can use

Send CSV, Excel, JSON, or a research report to the team without stitching together screenshots, scripts, and disconnected spreadsheets.

Profile and follower extraction

Collect usernames, display names, bio text, follower counts, following counts, and post counts from any public profile or follower list.

Post and engagement data

Extract post captions, like counts, comment counts, media URLs, and timestamps from any profile feed or hashtag page.

Influencer research at scale

Export lists of profiles from hashtag searches, location pages, or follower lists to build influencer databases for outreach.

Real-world use cases

An influencer marketing coordinator building a shortlist searches a niche hashtag (e.g., #sustainableliving), exports the top creator profiles, and compares follower counts and bio keywords to identify the best partnership fits before reaching out.

A competitive analyst tracks a rival brand's Instagram post grid monthly — capturing post captions, like counts, and comment counts to understand which content formats are generating the most engagement.

A PR agency uses Instagram follower exports to identify micro-influencers in their client's existing follower base — people with 5,000–50,000 followers who are already engaged with the brand and prime for ambassador partnerships.

How it works

  1. 1

Log into Instagram in Chrome and open a profile page, followers/following dialog, or hashtag explore feed. Profile pages show the account summary and post grid; follower dialogs show the full list of accounts — both work with DataLens.

  2. 2

Open DataLens from the Chrome toolbar and click on a profile card or post tile to let the AI identify the repeating structure. For follower lists, DataLens maps username, display name, bio snippet, and follower count. For post grids, it maps caption, like count, comment count, and post URL.

  3. 3

Scroll through the list or feed to load additional content — Instagram uses infinite scroll throughout. When you have gathered enough records, click Export and download as CSV, Excel (XLSX), or JSON.

Frequently asked questions

Use these questions to decide how a live website becomes an AI scraping workflow.

What Instagram data can I extract?

From profile pages you can extract username, display name, bio, follower count, following count, and post count. From follower/following dialogs you get a list of accounts with username and follower count. From post grids and hashtag pages you can extract post captions, like counts, comment counts, timestamps, and post URLs.

Do I need Instagram API access?

No. DataLens reads data directly from your Chrome browser session. If you can view a profile or feed in the browser — public accounts or accounts you follow — DataLens can extract the visible fields without any API credentials or developer setup.

Can I scrape Instagram follower lists?

Yes. Open the Followers or Following modal dialog on any profile page, scroll to load accounts, and DataLens detects and exports the repeated profile card rows. The scrolling triggers additional profile batch loading — the more you scroll, the more accounts are captured.

Can I export Instagram data to Excel?

Yes. Export any Instagram extraction as CSV, Excel (XLSX), or JSON with a single click. The resulting file includes labeled columns and is ready to open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any data tool.
